WINGHAM REGIONAL SILVER STICK
HISTORY
This is our 23rd year of hosting the Midget and Atom Regional Silver Stick Hockey Tournaments. Wingham has hosted a Midget Tournament for 44 years and we are very pleased to be connected to International Silver Stick which provides the winning teams an opportunity to advance to the International Silver Stick Finals.
The Midget Tournament has a B category (12 teams) for teams in our area who are classified “B” and a C and under category (12 teams) for teams classified “C and under”. The Atom Tournament has a B category (8 teams) and C & under category (12 teams). The winner of the B category advance to the International Silver Stick Finals in Sarnia, Ont. and the winner of the C category advance to the International Silver Stick Finals in Forest, Ont.

Stainton Home Hardware, Wingham Ont. provides a gift package to a chosen player from each team after the first game of the tournament.
The businesses of Wingham and area sponsor ice time with an ad in the tournament program.
The Wingham Regional Silver Stick awards a $500. annual scholarship to an eligible boy or girl in the Midget or Juvenile category of the Wingham Minor Hockey Program who are continuing their education at university, college or apprenticeship program. This scholarship is in memory Brett Cameron, a dedicated Silver Stick executive member and a strong proponent of hockey in Wingham and area.
